  1. Good bye is so very formal and does seem to mean to be a “forever.” See you later or even just “later” has the expectation of a meeting in the future. If one has the mind set that the parting is only temporary, then the event that keeps those apart physically is just really an illusion. With the way we have technology today, good bye is only a formality to signal the ending of a current togetherness session and should only be looked as that. 🙂
    So…until I see you again… 🙂

    1. Indeed, like usual you make a good point. I know I’m going to see them again, and we certainly talk often online, however being with them is different. Even though it isn’t really a goodbye in the sense it used to be, it still feels like it. Thank goodness I’ll see them again at christmas! 🙂
